Description:
CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear) filter
Product name:
125-CBRN1-CE
Use:

Protection against particulates, dust, smoke, fumes, bacteria, chemical and biological warfare agents, ammonia, and a wide range of organic, inorganic and acid gases.

Intended for use in CBRN applications with SE40 positive-pressure demand CBRN PAPR and FP-C CBRN APR.

Approvals:

With SE40 CBRN PAPR: BS 8468-4:2008 Class 90 TM3P SL

With FP-C negative-pressure RPD: BS 8468-2:2006 Class 15 P3

Housing material:
ABS/PC plastic
Weight:
495 g (17.5 oz)
Filter medium:

Non-woven hydrophobic glassfibre paper, mechanical filtration

Breathing resistance:

<50mm H2O (4.9 mbar) at 85 l/min

Filter efficiency: P4 — penetration <0.003% using paraffin oil at 95 l/min
P4 high flow — penetration 0.01% using paraffin oil at 250 l/min
This performance far exceeds the BS 8468 penetration requirement of 0.05%
Gas capacity:

SE40 CBRN PAPR with dual filters: Service life exceeds the 90-minute requirement of BS8468-4:2008 Capacity Class 90 for CBRN PAPR for all 10 Test Representative Gases (TRGs). Tests were performed at a flow rate equivalent to a breathing rate of 30 l/min average.

FP-C negative pressure RPD with single filter: Service life exceeds the 15-minute requirement of BS8468-2:2006 Capacity Class 15 for CBRN Negative Pressure RPD for all 10 Test Representative Gases (TRGs). Tests were performed at 64 l/min.

Chemical agent permeation and penetration resistance: The filter was tested with FP-C CBRN APR and SE40 CBRN PAPR by NIOSH on breathing machine against distilled sulfur mustard (HD) and sarin (GB). The devices achieved a capacity of 8 hours for HD and GB vapor, and 2 hours for HD liquid. Tests were performed at a breathing rate of 40 l/min.
Storage period :

10 years if foil packaging intact

Storage: Store at room temperature in clean, dry place
