Emergency escape hoods are vacuum sealed and often stored in handy packs in an easily accessible location for rapid use. One size fits all, and the hood is easily fitted in a single action without practice or training. The respirator and hood provides short-term protection against a variety of substances during evacuation of a building or other emergency procedures.

  • Made from flame and chemicals resistant material
  • Incorporates a silicone half mask with a gas and particle filter that provides protection from smoke, fume, carbon monoxide and other toxic gases that may be generated in a fire.
  • Also provides protection against chemical vapours and warfare agents such as nerve gas, sarin, anthrax, smallpox, tear gas, mustard gas and more.
  • Extremely easy to put on, and does not require any adjustment
  • Supplied in a vacuum-sealed container with a storage life of 15 years (filters 7.5 years)
  • Can easily be fitted with optional SmallTalk microphone and loudspeaker for effective voice communication by team leaders, floor supervisors etc.

Description:
The SR 77-2 Escape Hood is a filtering respiratory protective device combined with a hood for self rescue in the event of a fire or a chemical emission accident.
Usage:
The hood is equipped with gas filter SR 331-2, ABEK1-CO and particulate filter SR 510, P3, and provides short-term protection against carbon monoxide and other toxic gases and particles that may be emitted in a fire or in a chemical emission accident.

The hood is available in two sizes and fits most adults and teenagers.

The hood is made of flame-resistant material.

The hood can be put on quickly and simply without prior adjustment.

Filter:

The hood is equipped with gas filter SR 331-2, ABEK1-CO and particulate filter SR 510, P3:

A1 organic gases and vapours, such as solvents, with boiling points above 65oC.
B1 inorganic gases and vapours, such as chlorine, hydrogen sulphide and hydrogen cyanide.
E1 acidic gases and vapours such as sulphur dioxide and hydrogen fluoride.
K1 ammonia and certain amines, such as ethylene diamine.

Storage:
The hoods are vacuum-packed in aluminium bags.
The SR 77-2 M is delivered in a contingency bag made of nylon and designed for mounting on a belt.

Shelf life:

Hood: 15 years if inner bag is unbroken.
Filter: 7.5 years if inner bag is unbroken. Respirator should be returned after 7.5 years for filter replacement and re-sealing of bag. It can then be kept for another 7.5 years.
