Sundström SR200 Airline (A and B model)

The SR200 Airline comprises an SR200 full face mask supplied with air from an external source through a hose and a regulator on the user's belt. A standard filter of suitable type in the mask provides back-up protection in case of loss of air supply and protects the user while walking to and from the workplace. In enclosed work spaces, the equipment can be used without filter with the front hole plugged. The SR200 Airline has been specially designed for heavy-duty, prolonged work, or where pollutants are especially hazardous and a high degree of protection is required.

The air flow rate can be controlled by means of a regulator on the user's belt, allowing adjustments between approximately 150 to 320 litres/minute. The supply pressure to the regulator should be between 5 and 6 bar.

In the A model, the breathing hose can be detatched from both mask and regulator, whereas in the B model, the breathing hose is permanently attached to the mask and can only be detatched from the regulator.

Description:
Full face mask with compressed air supply connection.
Product name:
  • SR 200 Airline A — detachable hose
  • SR 200 Airline B — permanently attached hose
Use:

The A model face piece can be detached from the air supply hose, and can then be used as a conventional negative pressure filter respirator.

The B model features permanently attached air supply hose, and should be used in situations where compressed air supply is the only option, e.g. if the user is performing hard and sustained work, or where the pollutants are particularly toxic or have poor warning characteristics.

In both A and B models, the respirator will instantly become a filtering device if the air supply should be accidentally interrupted. This will allow the user to escape the hazard area without undue exposure to the contaminant.
